Online Graphing Tools

In this activity, we were supposed to create two separate graphs that illustrated West Virginia versus the national average test scores. We used data from the NAEP West Virginia State Profile. (The NAEP data utilized can be accessed via this link.) We used Kid's Zone to create our graphs. The purpose of this activity was to demonstrate how different graphs can be utilized to interpret the same exact data, and how it can be used to your benefit. This activity is related to ISTE standard 3.C: communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital-age media and formats.
